Last Game

Ashford Green restored a little bit of pride after closing the 11-3 half time lead held by Ashford Orange. However, Ashford Orange had too much about them and won the game 15-11

Result

After a weeks break both Ashford Green and Ashford Orange were raring to go. The opening was a cagey affair with it taking a considerable amount of time for the first goal to be scored. (compared to previous matches)

Ashford Green broke the deadlock, before Ashford Orange levelled on two occasions and taking a 3-2 lead into half time. A very end to end half of football.

The second half had more goals but it was still a very end to end game. Ashford Orange were 6-5 up with only a few minutes to go. Ashford Green’s perseverance paid off with a late 6-6 equaliser.

Ashford Orange hearts were broken when James Standen scored the winner for Ashford Green in the dying seconds with literally the last kick of the game. Jubilant scenes for Ashford Green, despair for Ashford Orange.
