Ashford Green run out winners 8-7 in a tightly contested game to make it 2 in a row

Result

Ashford Orange got off to a flyer, going 2-0 up in early doors. One goal in particular was Mike C’s solo run with a wonderful finish. Rightfully going down as goal on the game. The Oranges early dominance paid off with smart tika taka passing and they went into the break 5-1 up! The Greens were in disarray and on the verge of combusting but they composed themselves for the second half.

In the second half the Greens came back into the game bringing the scoreline much closer. With minutes remaining (despite the game clock breaking and having to be reset) it looked as though the Green’s would equalise, however the Oranges managed to hit a couple of counter attacks to put the game out of sight.

The Oranges went on to win 9-4 with James S scoring all 4 for the Greens and Steve B scoring 4 for the Oranges and bagging an assist to get the MOTM award.

The Greens winning steak of 2 was ended by the Oranges.
